Set up in 2004, and managed by the Regional Park of Monti Aurunci, the park encompasses an remarkable mosaic, where environmental attractions, such as the coverage of woodlands and blossoming of spontaneous orchids, interweave with archaeological and historic vestiges. Borderland between the Papal State and the Bourbon Realm, and stage setting for events linked to banditry during the centuries just prior to the Unification of Italy, the hill of Acquaviva is a magnificent terrace on the Ausoni Mountains, Fondi Plainland, lake of the same name and promontory of Circeo.
